WHOLLY QUILTS TERM 3 2023
How fast the year is passing! We have certainly been in full-swing this term with many children’s quilts being completed, along with 2 special comfort quilts, made for lovely ladies in the Church, who sadly became widows.
Bennie C has produced about 12 quilts herself. A staggering amount! Thanks, Bennie for your time and your commitment. They were delivered to the vulnerable children in our local area.
Smaller 36”x36” quilts are delivered to our contact, who passes them onto her contact for “Kids in Wheelchairs”.
We were very pleased to present to Barb G, the guest speaker at a recent Women’s Breakfast Meeting, a quilt for the Gosford Hospital’s Palliative Care Ward. They had been overwhelmed by the response of quilts and rugs that were donated when it was initially opened, but have now asked us to commence making quilts again. The quilts are then offered to the families to take home with them.
We continue to be very grateful to people who hear about our charity quilt work and when they are downsizing, or families are clearing out deceased estates, they offer us their loved ones ‘stash’.
